Make sure that you do not put your affiliate link in a discussion on mylot - very BAD.

A link is allowed in your profile so I direct people there from a discussion and have my blog page as my profile link and update that with my current promotion. Since mylot discussions stay around for ages if not for ever I try to make sure I say the relevant date in the discussion too so that members can find it more easily later.
